Künker sale 293, lot 615

This specimen was lot 615 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €300 (about US$404 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG-LÜNEBURG, HERZOGTUM Friedrich, 1636-1648. Reichstaler o. J. (1643/1645), Zellerfeld. Schrötlingsfehler, sehr schön. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Luneburg-Celle, Frederick, 1636-48, undated thaler, Zellerfeld mint. Rim nicks, very fine.)"

This type is known dated 1643-45 as well as the undated specimen shown here.
