This specimen was lot 794 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €2,800 (about US$3,617 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG-CALENBERG-HANNOVER, Ernst August, 1679-1698, seit 1662 Bischof von Osnabrück. Reichstaler 1687, Clausthal. Ausbeute der Harzer Gruben. Mit Randschrift: È DAS ∙ LAND ∙ DIE ∙ FRUCHTE ∙ BRINGET IM ∙ HARTZ ∙ DER ∙ THALER ∙ KLINGET. RR Attraktives Exemplar mit hübscher Patina, sehr schön-vorzüglich. While the "leaping stallion" thaler was popular and struck in many variations, this particular issue of 1683-87 is rare.
