Brazil 1935 1000 reis
This is one of a series of circulating commemoratives issued in the 1920's and 1930's which today form an interesting but inexpensive set. This particular one commemorates José de Anchieta and was issued 1935 only. The réis was abolished in 1942 with the reform of the coinage in that year.
