Brandenburg-Ansbach 1726 1/2 thaler
This specimen was lot 2585 in Sincona sale 57 (Zürich, May 2019), where it sold for 500 CHF (about US$595 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND | Brandenburg-Ansbach, Markgrafschaft, Christiane Charlotte als Vormünderin, 1723-1729. 1/2 Taler 1726, Schwabach. Attraktives vorzügliches Exemplar. Hübsche Patina. (Germany, margraviate of Brandenburg-Ansbach, Christine Charlotte as regent, 1723-29, half thaler of 1726, Schwabach mint. Attractive extremely fine specimen, Attractive patina.)"
A thaler also exists struck with these dies (KM 156). Brandenburg-Ansbach is in central Germany just north of Bavaria.
