This specimen was lot 861 in Sedwick Auction 37 (Winter Park, FL, May 2025), where it sold for $3,240. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA, Potosí, gold bust 1 escudo, Charles IV, 1807 PJ, rare, NGC AU 58, finest known in NGC census, ex-Almenara.Very choice luster and rims, central details on reverse 100% sharp and MS quality but bust slightly weaker, light in color. Pedigreed to the Almenara Collection." This type is very scarce as is most colonial gold from Bolivia.
