This specimen was lot 800 in Sedwick Auction 37 (Winter Park, FL, May 2025), where it sold for $450. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 4 reales, 1759 q, ex-Ponte. Chunky odd-shaped flan with blunted points, bold full date and denomination between well-centered pillars, most of cross with bold mintmark to left, XF with traces of toning. Pedigreed to the Luis R. Ponte Collection." This type was struck for Philip V through his entire reign. Assayer "q" stamped coins 1744-59. By this time, Potosí was the only mint still striking cobs.
