Bolivia 1741-P P 4 reales
This specimen was lot 71219 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $456. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA. Cob 4 Reales, 1741-P. Potosi Mint; Assayer Diego de Pui (P). Philip V. PCGS AU-50. Despite some roughness and an irregular flan, this Cob presents a rather clear date, assayer, and three mintmarks. These details are enhanced by the coin's uniformly bright and warm toning. A pleasingly well-preserved example from this more challenging assayer. From the Pat Johnson Collection." This type was struck for Philip V through his entire reign. Assayer "P" stamped coins 1740-43. The silver cobs were debased from 0.931 fine to 0.917 fine in 1728.
