This specimen was lot 72152 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2024), where it sold for $145. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA. Cob Real, 1729-P M. Potosi Mint. Philip V. PCGS Genuine--Holed, VF Details. A crudely struck Cob, with mintmark, assayer, and date visible on the obverse. From the S.P. Rutherford Collection." This type was struck for Philip V through his entire reign. Assayer "M" stamped coins 1728-32. The silver cobs were debased from 0.931 fine to 0.917 fine in 1728.
