This specimen was lot 1949 in Sedwick Auction 37 (Winter Park, FL, May 2025), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 2 reales, 1713 Y, ex-Ponte. Rather scarce date which is seen between the full pillars, partial cross, some flat areas along the edges, Fine overall with rich gray toning and darker contrast in the fields, as-made edge-crack. Pedigreed to the Luis R. Ponte Collection." This type was struck for Philip V through his entire reign--unlike in Europe, his rule was never challenged in America. Assayer Y stamped coins 1701-28.
