This specimen was lot 1815 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 38 (Winter Park, FL, November 2025), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 2 reales, 1710 Y. VF with date (scarce) plus two clear assayers on the pillars side, bold full cross with second date visible beneath, some scratches on the reverse." This type was struck for Philip V through his entire reign--unlike in Europe, his rule was never challenged in America. Assayer Y stamped coins 1701-28.
