This specimen was lot 45755 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA. Cob Real, 1673-P E. Potosi Mint. Charles II. PCGS VF-25." This type, struck 1667-1701, is probably the most common one real cob. It is the only one that can be collected by date. Assayer "E" (Antonio de Ergueta) was brought in to clean house after the debasement scandal and served 1650-79, well into the reign of Charles II, as here.
