This specimen was lot 449 in Áureo y Calicó sale 345 (Barcelona, March 2020), where it sold for €250 (about US$330 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1628. Felipe IV. Potosí. P. 8 reales. MBC. (Bolivia, Philip IV, 1621-65, eight reales of 1628, very fine.)"
This type was struck 1627-48. It was discovered about 1650 that many were illegally debased, causing a major scandal. This date is also known with assayer T.
