This specimen was lot 4738 in Goldberg sale 72 (Los Angeles, February 2013), where it sold for $184. The catalog description[1] noted, "Belize. 100 Dollars, 1979. Queen angelfish. In original sealed cachet. Choice Brilliant Proof." This is another Non-Circulating Legal Tender coin issued and marketed by the Franklin mint on behalf of Belize before it withdrew from coinage operations in 1985.
Recorded mintage: 400 uncirculated plus 4,465 proofs.
Specification: 6.21 g, 0.500 fine gold, .100 troy oz AGW.
