This specimen was lot 4756 in Goldberg sale 72 (Los Angeles, February 2013), where it sold for $339. The catalog description^[2] noted, "British Virgin Islands. 100 Dollars, 1975. Royal Tern. In original sealed cachet. Choice Brilliant Proof." This is another Non-Circulating Legal Tender coin issued and marketed by the Franklin mint on behalf of the British Virgin Islands before it withdrew from coinage operations in 1985.

Recorded mintage: 13,000 uncirculated plus 23,000 proofs.

Specification: 7.10 g, 0.900 fine gold, .205 troy oz AGW.
