This specimen was lot 1550 in Jean Elsen sale 160 (Brussels, November 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Occupation allemande (1914-1918), 25 centimes, 1915 FR/NL. Refrappe en argent. Tranche lisse. Pochette originale Muntbeheer n° 106. Fleur de Coin. (kingdom of Belgium, German occupation, 1914-18, twenty-five centimes of 1915, silver restrike, plain edge. Uncirculated, with original pouch.)"

This type was struck 1915-18 during the German occupation of Belgium. The restrikes, which must have been made after the war, are not mentioned in the SCWC.

Recorded mintage: 8,079,538 in zinc.

Specification: 6.5 g, zinc, 26 mm diameter, plain edge.
