This specimen was lot 1551 in Jean Elsen sale 160 (Brussels, November 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Occupation allemande (1914-1918), 10 centimes, 1917 FR/NL. Refrappe en argent. Tranche lisse. . Pochette originale Muntbeheer n° 107. Fleur de Coin. (kingdom of Belgium, German occupation, 1914-18, ten centimes of 1917, silver restrike, plain edge. Uncirculated, with original pouch.)"

This type was struck 1915-17 during the German occupation of Belgium. The restrikes must have been made after the war.

Recorded mintage: 1,447,000 in zinc.

Specification: 4 g, zinc, 22 mm diameter, plain edge.
