This specimen was lot 74362 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $145. The catalog description[1] noted, "BELGIUM. 2 Francs, 1909. Brussels Mint. Leopold II. NGC MS-65. From the Richard Margolis Collection." This type was struck 1904 and 1909. A version with Flemish legends (KM 59) also exists. The last silver two francs was issued in 1912.
Recorded mintage: 1,088,000.
Specification: 10 g, 0.835 fine silver, 27.15 mm diameter.
