This specimen was lot 1522 in Jean Elsen sale 154 (Brussels, March 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Léopold II (1865-1909), 50 centiemen, 1907 NL. Refrappe en argent. Tranche lisse. Bogaert 1626B2. Flan poli. Fleur de Coin. (kingdom of Belgium, Leopold II, 1865-1909, fifty centimes of 1907, Dutch legends. restrike in silver, plain edge. Proof planchet, Uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1907 and 1909 with French and Flemish legends. This is a later restrike with a plain edge.
Recorded mintage: 545,000 plus restrikes.
Specification: 2.5 g, 0.835 fine silver, .067 troy oz ASW.
