Jean Elsen sale 141, lot 840

This specimen was lot 840 in Jean Elsen sale 141 (Brussels, June 2019), where it sold for €80 (about US$106 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Léopold Ier (1831-1865), Cu 1 centime, 1860. Avec trait sous CENT. Petites taches. Superbe à Fleur de Coin. (kingdom of Belgium, Leopold I, 1831-65, copper one centime of 1860, with dash under CENT. Minor nicks, Extremely Fine - Uncirculated.)"

A variety (KM 1.3) exists without the dash below "CENTS".

Recorded mintage: 1,581,000, a common date.

Specification: 1.8 g, copper.
