This specimen was lot 802 in Jean Elsen sale 141 (Brussels, June 2019), where it sold for €320 (about US$424 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Léopold Ier (1831-1865), Cu 5 centimes, 1853. Fleur de Coin. (kingdom of Belgium, Leopold I, 1831-65, copper five centimes of 1853. Uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1833-38, 1841-42, 1847-61. In 1861, the type was replaced with a copper-nickel five centimes of smaller diameter.
Recorded mintage: 705,000.
