is specimen was lot 24146 in Heritage sale 3032 (Chicago, April 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Leopold I Franc 1835, MS66+ PCGS. A stunning piece with attractive, medium-gray patina and subtle amber-blue highlights. An impressively bold strike with effulgent luster. Exceedingly rare in such high grade." This type was struck 1833-44 at the Brussels mint. The specification matches the French franc of Louis Philippe.
