Jean Elsen sale 141, lot 762

This specimen was lot 762 in Jean Elsen sale 141 (Brussels, June 2019), where it sold for €90 (about US$119 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Léopold Ier (1831-1865), AR 1/4 de franc, 1834. Avec signature. Superbe. (kingdom of Belgium, Leopold I, 1831-65, silver quarter franc of 1834, with signature. Extremely Fine.)"

This date comes with or without the engraver's signature. The type was struck 1834-35, 1841-44.

Recorded mintage: 762,000.

Specification: 1.25 g, 0.900 fine.
