This specimen was lot 3365 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $89.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "BAVARIA: Otto, 1886-1913, AR 2 mark, 1907-D, a lovely example for the date! NGC graded MS63." This is a common date of a common type first struck in 1891. It superseded the gulden from before unification. This example realized one-third of the catalog value.
