This specimen was lot 72174 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2023), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Bavaria. Kreuzer, 1835. Ludwig I. NGC MS-65. An incredible Gem example with a sharp needle like strike and a sun gold tone that is rather attractive." This type was struck 1830-36 and is listed as common in all grades. Sixty kreuzer made a gulden and 120 kreuzer made a convention thaler.
Recorded mintage: unknown but the most common date.
