Sincona sale 4, lot 4297

This specimen was lot 4297 in Sincona sale 4 (Zürich, October 2011) where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND Bayern, 1806 Königreich Ludwig I. 1825-1848. Kronentaler 1830. Kl. Rdf. Gutes vorzüglich. (kingdom of Bavaria, Louis I, 1825-48, some hairlines, good very fine)."

This type was issued 1830-37 and was called a kronenthaler; the subsequent type (KM 468) was reduced to 18.52 grams.

Recorded mintage: 61,479.

Specification: 29.54 g, .871 fine silver, .3827 troy oz ASW, lettered edge, this specimen 29,54 g.
