This specimen was lot 1243 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it sold for CHF 1,400 (about US$1,845 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Dukat 1823. München Fast vorzüglich-vorzüglich. (kingdom of Bavaria, ducat of 1823, Munich mint. Extremely fine.)"
This three year type of 1823-25 is scarce but more available than many other Bavarian ducats.
Recorded mintage: 4,400.
