Stephen Album sale 32, lot 1132
Bavaria SA32-1132r.jpg

This specimen was lot 1132 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $152.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "BAVARIA: Karl Albrecht, 1726-1745, AR 3 kreuzer, 1736, PCGS graded MS64, ex Don Erickson Collection." This type was struck 1733-37 and is doubtless rare in nice condition. Karl Albrecht's attempt to seize the throne of the Holy Roman Empire on the death of Karl VI only resulted in war and devastation for Bavaria.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver or billon.

Catalog reference: KM 426 (formerly KM-179).
