This specimen was lot 4030 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 375 CHF (about US$544 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Basel, Stadt und Kanton, Halbtaler o. J. (um 1670), Basel. Baselstab in Kartusche. Rv. Schrift auf verzierter Kartusche. Selten. Sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Basel, undated half thaler, circa 1670, Basel mint. Obverse: city badge in cartouche; reverse: four line inscription in cartouche. Rare, Very Fine.)"
Several city view half thalers are attributed to this period.
