This specimen was struck in 1973 in honor of obtaining independence from Great Britain. It was accompanied by a ten dollars in gold and a suite of silver commemoratives.
Recorded mintage: 8,660 plus 1.260 plus an unknown number struck of 18 karat gold (KM 43).
Specification: 2.90 g, .585 fine gold, 19 mm diameter.
