This specimen was lot 23624 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $4,112.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Baden. Friedrich II gold Proof 10 Mark 1910-G, Proof 66 Cameo NGC, a splendid example with deeply mirrored fields and a frosty cameo effect on the bust and raised details. Rare and desirable in this deluxe grade." This type was struck 1909-13 for the grand duke of Baden but is rather scarcer than the contemporary twenty mark (KM 284).

Recorded mintage: 60,649 plus proofs.

Specification: 3.98 g, 0.900 fine gold, .115 troy oz AGW.
