Minting of imperial coinage for the Austrian Netherland was disrupted by the revolt of the United Belgian States, which lasted January to December 1790. Divisions among the rebels allowed Leopold II to reconquer the province with little effort, only to lose it to Revolutionary France in 1794. Belgium finally attained her independence in 1830. This type was also struck 1791-92 and those dates are common.

Recorded mintage: 62,819.

Specification: 2.7 g, 0.535 fine silver, 22 mm diameter, decorated edge, engraved by Théodore Van Berckel; this specimen 2,68 g.
