This specimen was lot 1644 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 700 CHF (about US$940 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Franz Joseph I. 1848-1916. Dukat 1856 E, Karlsburg. Vorzüglich. Kleine Kratzer. (empire of Austria, Francis Joseph I, 1848-1916, ducat of 1856, Karlsburg mint. Extremely fine, Small scratches.)"

This type was struck 1852-59 at Vienna ("A"), Kremnitz ("B"), Karlsburg (shown here), Milan ("M") and Venice ("V"). This is a common date.
