The first specimen was lot 1685 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €6,000 (about US$8,087 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"KAISERREICH ÖSTERREICH, Franz Josef I. 1848-1916. 1/2 Konv.-Taler (Gulden) 1850, A, Wien. RR Prachtexemplar. Fast Stempelglanz. (Empire of Austria, Francis Joseph I, 1848-1916, half convention thaler of 1850, Vienna mint. Rare, proof example, about uncirculated.)"
The second specimen was lot 2736 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it sold for 4,000 CHF (about US$4,773 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,
