Austria 1841-B ducat Fr-225
This specimen was lot 3335 in Sincona sale 33 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 525 CHF (about US$623 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"UNGARN. Ferdinand V. 1835-1848 Dukat 1841. B Kremnitz. Fast vorzüglich-vorzüglich. (kingdom of Hungary, Ferdinand V, 1835-48, ducat of 1841, Kremnitz mint. About extremely fine-extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1837-48 in substantial numbers from Vienna, Kremnitz (shown here), Karlsburg and Venice. Some authorities list this issue under Hungary but it differs only in mintmark from the Vienna product.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a common date.
