This specimen was lot 1064 in Jean Elsen sale 118 (Brussels, September 2013), where it sold for €260 (about US$410 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"AUTRICHE, François Ier (1806-1835), AV ducat, 1831 A, Vienne. Fines griffes. Très Beau à Superbe. (Austria, Francis I (1806-35), gold ducat of 1831, Vienna mint. Fine scratches, very fine to extremely fine.)"
This type is noted for 1831-35 from Vienna (shown here), Kremnitz and Karlsburg.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a slightly better date.
Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold, .109 troy oz AGW.
