This specimen was lot 2033 in Sincona sale 6 (Zürich, May 2012), where it sold for 80 CHF (about US$98 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR/ÖSTERREICH Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835. Taler 1831, Wien. Sehr schön. (Austria, Francis I, 1792-1835, thaler of 1831, Vienna mint. Very fine.)"
This type was struck 1831 only but is not rare tho priced higher than preceding or succeeding types. Thalers were struck to this weight standard until 1852.
Recorded mintage: unknown but only somewhat scarce.
Specification: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver; this specimen is 27,68 g.
