This specimen was lot 881 in Sincona Auction 103 (Zürich, May 2026), where it sold for 1,350 CHF (about US$2,058 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835. Dukat 1828 B, Kremnitz. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Vorzüglich-FDC. (empire of Austria, Francis I, 1792-1835, ducat of 1828, Kremnitz mint. Rare in this condition, About Uncirculated.)"
This type was issued 1825-31 from Vienna (A), Kremnitz (B, shown here) and Karlsburg (E). Friedberg lists this under Hungary (the Kremnitz mint was in Slovakia) but the design was standard at all the Hapsburg mints.
