This specimen was lot 3326 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 180 CHF (about US$271 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835. Konventionstaler 1818 V, Venedig. Fast vorzüglich. (empire of Austria, Francis II, 1792-1835, convention thaler of 1818, Venice mint. About Extremely Fine.)"
This thaler was struck 1817-24 at seven mints (A, B, C, E, G, M, V). Thalers were struck to this weight standard until 1852.
Recorded mintage: unknown but not rare.
Specification: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver, 40 mm diameter, this specimen 27.94 g.
