Sincona sale 39, lot 4154

This specimen was lot 4154 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 375 CHF (about US$450 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835 Konventionstaler 1802 A. Wien. Sehr schön. (Holy Roman Empire, Francis II, 1792-1835, convention thaler of 1802, Vienna mint. Very fine.)"

This type of 1792-1804 is also listed as Dav-1178. It is rather scarce. It is the second-to-last type struck for Francis using his title of Holy Roman Emperor, which title he gave up in 1806.
