This specimen was lot 1617 in Sincona sale 63 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 1,000 CHF (about US$1,253 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835. Dukat 1797 E, Karlsburg. 7 über 5. Fast vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Francis II, 1792-1835, ducat of 1797/5, Karlsburg mint. About extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1792-1804 at Vienna (A), Kremnitz (B), Prague (C), Karlsburg (E, shown here), Hall (F) and Nagybanya (G). Friedberg lists this date under Transylvania but the design is strictly Austrian.
