This specimen was lot 1647 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €1,300 (about US$1,809 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Franz II. 1792-1804. Dukat 1799, Kremnitz. GOLD. Vorzüglich +. (Holy Roman Empire, Francis II, 1792-1804, ducat of 1799, Kremnitz mint, extremely fine or better.)"
This type was struck 1792-99 and is common. The design is purely Hungarian and we have filed it there.
