This specimen was lot 2025 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 850 CHF (about US$1,233 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835. Dukat 1804 A, Wien. Mit Reichskrone. Selten. Sehr schön. Leichte Fassungsspuren. (Holy Roman Empire, Francis II (I), 1792-1835, ducat of 1804, Vienna mint, with imperial crown. Rare, Very Fine, Minor traces of mounting.)"
Friedberg lists this type for 1792-1830 but does not distinguish between the issues struck for Francis as Holy Roman Emperor (KM 1886, legend "FRANC II D G R IMP S A GE HV BO REX", struck 1792-1804) and those struck for him as emperor of Austria (legend "FRANCISCVS II. D.G.ROM. ET HAER. AVST.IMP.", struck 1804-06). The second one is shown here.
