This specimen was lot 32378 in Heritage Sale 3115 (Chicago, May 2024), where it sold for $2,040. The catalog description[1] noted, "Austria: Karl VI Taler 1718/7 MS63 NGC, Hall mint. A laudable choice survivor carrying a bright sheet of rolling argent luster over surfaces graced by a gentle dove-gray tone with golden highlights expressed over bright mint brilliance in the legends. Utterly sharp throughout, resulting in truly excellent eye appeal for the type. Ex. Cape Coral Collection of European Crowns (Heritage Auctions #3089, January 2021, Lot 30042)." This type was struck 1714-18 and is slightly scarce. Other Austria thalers of 1718 include KM 1522/Dav-1035, KM 1551/Dav-1039, Dav-1075, Dav-1076 and Dav-1077.
