Künker sale 406, lot 4546

This specimen was lot 4546 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €600 (about US$787 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Leopold I. 1657-1705. Reichstaler 1679, Hall. Seltener Jahrgang. Hübsche Patina, vorzüglich. (Austria, Leopold I, 1657-1705, thaler of 1679, Hall mint. Rare date, handsome patina, extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1679-83 and 1686 at the Hall mint. The Hall mint in Tyrol was prolific and most of its products are common.
