This specimen was lot 75059 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2024), where it sold for $145. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Montfort. 15 Kreuzer, 1679. Langenargen Mint. Johann VIII. PCGS AU-55. An attractive example featuring a sharp strike with a bit of curve from the roller press. Lightly shimmery gray surfaces without any damage or defect." This rare type was struck 1679 only. Each of these were worth one-sixth thaler.
