Künker Auction 441, lot 4674

This specimen was lot 4674 in Künker sale 441 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €1,300 (about US$1,789 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Maximilian II., 1564-1576. 1/2 Guldentaler (30 Kreuzer) 1570, Wien. Von großer Seltenheit. Hübsche Patina, sehr schön. Aus der Sammlung Kommerzialrat Dr. Herbert Wenzel, Wien. Exemplar der Slg. Karl Hollschek, Sonder-Münzenauktion, Austria in Nummis, 1. Teil, Wien, Februar 1956, Nr. 198. (Holy Roman Empire, Maximilian II, 1564-76, half guldenthaler or thirty kreuzer of 1570, Vienna mint. Extremely rare, handsome patina, very fine.)"

At this time, the half gulden or thirty kreuzer was five-twelfths of a thaler. this one is shown in Numista for 1570 only.
