Australia 1991 500 dollars KM-150
The first specimen was lot 3331 in Goldberg sale 90 (Los Angeles, January 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Australia. 500 Dollars, 1991. Red Kangaroo. One year type. NGC graded MS-64." The second specimen was lot 3332 in Goldberg sale 90 (Los Angeles, January 2016), where it sold for $2,937.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Australia. 500 Dollars, 1991. Red kangaroo left. In custom wood presentation box. Choice Brilliant Proof." This was the first two ounce gold bullion coin issued by Australia. In 1992, the face value was reduced to 200 dollars and issued in that form until 1995.
