This coin was lot 9217 in Ponterio sale 150 (Los Angeles, August 2009), where it sold for $2,300. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA. Shilling, 1920-M. PCGS MS-63." The type was struck 1911-36 at London, Melbourne (this specimen) and Sydney. Though not rare, the price ascends rapidly with grade.

Recorded mintage: 520,000.

Specification: 5.65 g, 0.925 fine silver, .168 troy oz ASW, 23.5 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by E. B MacKennal and W. H. J. Blakemore.
