This specimen was lot 1047 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it sold for 1,100 CHF (about US$1,332 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Australien, George V. 1910-1936. Sovereign 1918 S, Sydney. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. NGC MS66. (Australia, George V, 1910-36, sovereign of 1918, Sydney mint. Uncirculated. Rare in this condition.)"
This type, struck 1911-31 at Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, is identical to the ordinary British sovereign in every respect except for the mintmark.
