This specimen was lot 2529 in Sincona sale 47 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$300 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND, Appenzell, Innerrhoden, Groschen 1738. Bär nach links. Rs. GLORIA... Selten. Schön-sehr schön. (canton of Appenzell, inner Rhoden, groschen of 1738, bear to left. Reverse: GLORIA. Rare, Fine-very fine.)"
Three different groschen were issued in Appenzell for 1738; one with the bear right and ornate reverse (KM 29), one with the bear facing left (KM 30, shown here) and another with the bear facing right (KM 31). None are common.
Reported Mintage: unknown.
